Mr. Ramesh Vangal on “Beyond Boundaries: Karma, Innovation and India’s Economic Story”

The 9th General K. S. Thimayya Memorial Lecture was held on Saturday, 16 November 2013 at the Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton Auditorium, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, Residency Road, Bangalore 560 025 at 10:00 a.m.

Delivered by Mr. Ramesh Vangal, Chairman, Katra Group, Former President, Pepsico Asia Pacific, & Old Cottonian on “Beyond Boundaries: Karma, Innovation and India’s Economic Story”

The topic explored India’s quest to be an economic super power and the reasons for its mixed success. Principal Professor John Zachariah delivered the Introductory Address. At the event, the Gen K S Thimayya Medal was presented to Old Boy, Mr. H.M. Spratt, IPS (former DGP, Haryana). Several eminent alumni and veterans from the armed forces were in attendance, including the patrons of the Trust, Admiral V S Shekhawat and Air Marshal Trevor Osman. Students of the Boys’ and Girls’ Schools too participated with vigour. The MEG band was in attendance.
